Learning The Manifestation Mindset

You have the power to do something truly amazing with your life.

We talk a lot about planning for the future here. It’s a great way to stay motivated for my patients. If you’re injured and can’t move around freely, it can really take a mental toll on you.

You would think the main focus would always be the physical injury, but if you’ve spent any time healing after getting hurt you know that you take a psychological hit, too. It can be discouraging to suddenly be unable to resume your life normally after an accident, for instance.

But over my career of helping people from all walks of life get back to their healthiest selves, I’ve found that the key is the mindset of the patient. We’ve seen some impressive comebacks from some very motivated people.

So exactly what is it that makes some people more motivated, while others get discouraged?

Welcome to Topic Thursday, where we dive into something specifically related to health, fitness, business, or life in general. Today, we’re going to talk about doing the impossible.

Training Your Brain To Change Your Life

When we get used to a certain set of circumstances, the situation becomes comfortable. The way our brains work in this situation is to identify patterns and create the easiest pathways to take advantage of them. Familiarity with anything over time becomes more pleasant to deal with than constant uncertainty. When you know what’s coming, you can prepare for it.

But when the situation changes, those old patterns might not work anymore. If you’re able to adapt to the new circumstances, you’ll have more success earlier. But if you have a hard time detaching from a time when things were just so much “easier” for you, you’ll have a harder time finding new patterns – patterns you’re actually going to need for your new situation.

So instead of being rigid and stuck in old ways, you’ll be happier with a healthy ability to recognize new opportunities. But how do we take advantage of this?

How do we actually change from being stuck in our paradigm to breaking through to a better life?

You Have The Power

Getting stuck in a rut happens all the time. Getting knocked off track is something that’s bound to happen to all of us at some point in our lives. We don’t always have control over everything that happens. Nor do we need it.

Wishing you could control the uncontrollable is blinding you to what you can control. When you don’t know what you’re capable of, you become incapable of everything.

When you do anything worthwhile in life, you have to have a purpose behind it.

Remembering how much a patient enjoys walking their dog every morning, or the look of joy on their kid’s face after school can really keep sessions productive. Wanting to get back out there on the golf course, or to go back to the gym regularly, can be motivating, too. Whatever your goal is, keep it with you no matter what you do.

I say this to my friends, family and patients all the time: when it gets hard, remember the reasons why you’re doing it. But on the other side of that coin is something else.

If you don’t have a good reason for doing something difficult, demanding, or damaging – stop doing it.

Don’t obsess over controlling things that don’t align with your goals. Don’t sink your energy into something that can’t yield any returns. Don’t waste your opportunities to change your life.

Are you ready to make a serious change? Do you feel stuck in your circumstances? Does it feel like there’s no way out of something that’s holding you back? Don’t wait; contact my team to schedule a 1-on-1 with me. I want you to succeed, so let’s talk about finding a better way.
