What To Do If You’re Constantly Exhausted

Hard work is good for you. Not only is this true in business and in your work; it’s also a good rule for staying in shape. You get rewarded with the best results from your honest effort. The most successful people can associate the work with the results they want; not the sensation of the work itself.

Pushing your boundaries can be uncomfortable, sometimes even painful. And if permanent improvement is worth this temporary discomfort to you, you might get used to breaking through your boundaries. You might not think twice about giving your best effort at everything you do.

But imagine starting your days exhausted, feeling like you just carried something heavy up a few flights of stairs. Resting more doesn’t help you recover, your muscles just keep aching and hurting for the rest of the day.

Would you still push yourself physically? Would you still take the stairs?

Welcome to Topic Tuesday, where we discuss a specific topic related to business, health, or life in general. No matter what your current focus is, you always have to consider your health. Today we’re going to talk about how feeling tired all the time could have a cause – and a solution.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Symptoms

It can be difficult enough to stay motivated to achieve your goals when you’re healthy. If you’re suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome, just making it through the day can be a genuine struggle

Imagine the last time you were really out of breath. Think about it; was it when you took the stairs instead of the elevator? Maybe it was when you were on the treadmill at the gym. The aching muscles, gasping lungs, and fatigue you went through was probably uncomfortable.

After just a few seconds of recovery, your whole body should’ve started to feel better. You regained your strength and your focus, and were able to continue if you wanted to do more.

But for the millions of people around the world who suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome, the journey looks much different.

Fatigue

Everybody gets tired sometimes. If you’re not sleeping enough, your diet is unhealthy, or you’re not exercising enough, you’ll feel less than energized. If this happens for a long time, you might feel worse and worse. But this isn’t necessarily chronic fatigue syndrome.

Chronic fatigue is something different. It’s characterized by severity and duration. If your fatigue is bad enough to significantly impair you, it comes on without you physically exerting yourself, and it isn’t relieved through rest, you’re probably experiencing something more than just typical fatigue.

Post-Exertional Malaise

Feeling generally “bad” is often reported from those who suffer chronic fatigue syndrome. If they then push themselves a little too hard, there’s an even more intense wave of exhaustion at the finish line waiting for them. This post-exertional malaise can be a big obstacle to staying motivated with chronic fatigue syndrome.

Non-restorative sleep

The tiredness you experience with chronic fatigue syndrome doesn’t improve with rest, leaving those afflicted feeling drained all the time. Even after resting, there’s no true restoration of energy to a comfortable, vibrant level. Imagine waking up after 8 hours of sleep – only to feel completely exhausted when you step out of bed.

Lymphatic Massage and Chronic Fatigue

Nonsurgical treatments should always be a consideration when you’re thinking about how to improve your health. Manual lymphatic drainage is a great treatment option for chronic fatigue syndrome.

Aside from helping to restore your immune system’s functioning, #MLD can also ease some insomnia symptoms. Slightly more restful sleep can be a major difference in your life if you’re suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome.
