Finding that missing piece of the puzzle and unblocking the floodgates of wealth, happiness, and abundance became my passion in life. It lets me see things I probably wouldn’t be able to otherwise.
Sometimes the best transformations come from something small. You’d be surprised how a tiny pebble on the path can turn into a mountain in your way, depending on how you look at it.
Welcome to Topic Tuesday, where we discuss a specific topic related to business, finance, or life in general. Today, we’re going to have a look at sticking points.
On my journey, I’m always seeing new ways that perspective changes things for other people. I’ve helped so many patients recover from the setbacks of life that it’s hard to overlook how I overcame some things for myself.
Staying Focused On Goals
Everytime I came upon a problem that I thought I couldn’t solve, I remembered this:
Even a pebble can look like a mountain when it’s an inch from your nose.
It’s only when you take a step back that you can see it for what it is.
Sometimes that pebble is ankle pain, that causes knee pain, or hip pain. Sometimes it’s a muscle in the upper or lower back that prevents you from feeling healthy enough to be active. It could even be a nagging expense hidden in your budget that’s eating at your savings.
Remember Your Why
The first thing that comes to mind when you hit an obstacle might be “Uh oh. I don’t think I can get through this. Maybe I should turn back.” If you find yourself falling into that thought pattern, STOP.
You don’t need to turn around.
You don’t need to give up. Not at all.
You need to imagine what it’s going to be like once you get to the other side. Once you get past the problem you’re bound for smooth sailing again. If you can stay connected to the original reason you started your journey you’ll be in a good position to stay motivated when things start to get more difficult
Prove It To Yourself
When you overcome adversity, it’s a great benefit to you. It’s not just about getting closer to achieving your goal, either. When you face a genuine challenge and rise to it, you’re proving to yourself that you’re capable of more than you thought you were. It’s a huge boost in confidence to know that you can do things that you didn’t even think were possible. When you can do this, you can start to recognize that challenges are a way that G-d can make you grow. They’re not always just there to stop you.
When you get used to coming upon challenges and can keep your perspective, you’ll be able to get further in whichever direction you choose.
Build Your Resilience
When you’ve grown accustomed to doing more difficult things, your baseline understanding of what “difficult” is will change. The bigger your new challenges are, the easier your old ones are going to seem to you. There’s no ceiling to what you can achieve with this new mindset. It’s up to you which direction you want to go.
Sure, it’s possible to build excellent resilience and use it in the wrong way. That can be extremely counterproductive. But to keep that from happening, it’s best to have a mentor, guide, or community that can help you channel your efforts in proven, productive directions. It’s always great to ask for help when you need it. It’s even better to listen to advice when you don’t even know you need help!
