Fearless Friday: Change Your Environment

Welcome to Fearless Fridays, where I share strategies to help you pursue your dreams without hesitation. Today we’re talking about changing your environment.

Have you ever felt stagnant, stuck, or like you need just a little hit of positive energy? Sometimes changing your environment can be the boost you need, but what are some of the benefits, and what are the different ways you can adjust your surroundings? Let’s get into it!

When you think of changing your environment, what comes to mind? Most people go straight to the obvious and think about literally changing the world around you by moving to a new city. But there are other, less-drastic ways to mix things up and still reap the benefits – here are 4 I’d recommend:

1. Change Up Your Routine

Think about what your daily routine looks like – when do you work out? What do your meals look like? Think about if there are any changes, alterations, or adjustments you can make. For example, I mentioned working out. Maybe you work out in the morning but consider flipping it to an evening workout to see how it affects you. Prep a different meal or take a different route on your run. Small, little changes will provide small doses of novelty.

2. Meet New People

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: you are who you surround yourself with. Think about the friend group you have now – do they support you and your journey? Do you walk away from an interaction with them feeling energized? If not, maybe consider adding a few people to your circle who do. I definitely am not suggesting fully dropping any of your friends, but you should also be around people who you can learn from and feel supported by.

3. Take A Short Trip

Instead of completely relocating, try taking a weekend and going somewhere near you. Immerse yourself somewhere new, see how other people live, and let yourself recharge. Getting physically outside your space is a great way to reframe a problem or your mindset.

4. Set a New Goal to Push Yourself

I’m always up for a challenge, and I know that I’m not the only one. Some people find a challenge to be extremely motivating. If you’re still feeling stagnant, give yourself something new to reach for. If you made 15 sales last month, shoot for 20 this month. If you’re having trouble setting a goal, or need some planning help, set a meeting with me to talk about it!

Are you ready to change your environment and get that hit of inspiration you’ve been looking for? Let’s do it!
