Welcome to 2023, you made it (trust me, after the last few years we’ve had, it’s a real accomplishment)! It’s the season for resolutions, goals, and growth. But as you’re setting off on your journey towards success, here are a couple of things I think should be on everyone’s 2023 checklist:
☐ Lock in Your Morning and Evening Routines
Deciding how you start and end your day can majorly set the tone for progress. Also starting and ending with checking off a list can create a sense of accomplishment that can carry through the rest of your day. This is also the time to focus on what makes you feel the most energized and what you find to be most important to you. For example, you may find that reading a book at night helps you wind down more than stretching. So, tap into what makes you feel most motivated and energized.
☐ Go to an Event
Whether you’re passionate about finance, writing, or even paddleboarding, chances are there’ll be an event you can go to and meet plenty of people who are just as excited about it as you are. This is the perfect place to network with others, create new friendships, or inject some life into your business. These events can be on a local or national level, and you can tailor them to your budget.
☐ Choose a Book to Read and Commit To
This is a great time to expand your knowledge, so select a book that’s about the topic you’re passionate about (or, if you want to branch out into another direction, something you don’t know anything about) and commit to finishing it. Take notes on chapters, give yourself time to let it sink in, and then apply it. Even though I’m a fan of writing it down, if you’re on the go, also consider an audiobook to take up your drive to work or your time at the gym.
☐ Grow Your Team
Consider your circle of friends and colleagues, is there anyone you’ve brought into your business or who’s actively involved in helping you reach your goals? If not, you may want to consider expanding your team. This can mean hiring some folks on staff at your business, or if you’re smaller, working with a financial coach to get your business off the ground. And if you’re looking for someone, set up a meeting with me!
Do you have any additional items on your list? What are they?
