In the latest episode of The Time Is Now! Dr. Slava Shut interviewed young entrepreneur, Stacy Serrano. In their podcast discussion, the two were interested in the topic of young entrepreneurs and the thriving avenues they are able to create.
Generation Z are those who have been born between the years of 1995 to 2010. Many consider Gen Z to be the leading generation of entrepreneurs because they were introduced to the world at the time of a technology boom. So, as they grew so did the internet and the fast-paced world around them. To this generation everything is in the palm of their hands and instant.
Generation Z is different from generations before due to their fiery, independent, and self-aware spirits. Due to the technological advances during their time, especially since many applications such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok were made during developmental years of them moving from high school to adulthood, Gen Z knows the ins and outs of how to get ahead of the algorithm.
With the incorporation of these mainstream applications, this generation built the skill of communication. Yes, it was passed down from their parents before them, but this generation has the ability to communicate globally rather than keeping it within the restraints of small towns and direct personal networking. It’s well known between people of this generation that they value communication, whether that be with each other, employers, or possible connections down the road. Transparency and honesty are vital to how they work with others, it’s known that even in the work place they want to be aware of their job performance and progress. To this generation there is always a possibility for more and better, even if it means making the opportunity for themselves.
Gen Z Entrepreneurs are self-starters who not only know how to network instantly but know how to build a brand from their own individual passion. New businesses come together each day despite the halt many had to experience during the global pandemic. Popular business can start anywhere from social media managing, esthetician services, apparel, online gaming, and other online explicit services. The driving force that is Gen Z is what makes these businesses as large scale as they are. Without the spark from this generation accessibility wouldn’t be as apparent.
